WHO WE ARE

Laura Griffin

I have a desire to assist the next generation to become positive change makers.

Laura has returned from maternity leave as Special Projects Coordinator, with a dedicated focus on data collection and analysis to quantify the impact of I Have a Dream.

Previously a passionate, energetic and enthusiastic Navigator, has worked with children and young people for over 10 years across many settings including as a student mentor, youth tutor, surf instructor and holiday programme supervisor. Laura continues to be driven by supporting children to grow and develop and help them foster the concept that “life is forever a journey of growth and discovery towards increasing excellence in everything we do”.

Laura has completed her Bachelor of Arts majoring in Education and minoring in Development, and is committed to an ongoing learning journey to better understand tikanga Māori, kaupapa Māori theory and Te Reo.

When not working, Laura loves being outdoors and active in nature with surfing one of her main passions - she was NZ’s National Woman’s Champion in 2010!
