Our dreamers need help from people just like you.
Think back to your own childhood. Who inspired you? Who do you remember as a positive influence on your life? Who did you want to be like when you grew up? By getting involved with I Have a Dream, you become that inspiring person you looked up to as a child – and you’ll be helping to change the lives of a whole generation of young people.
If you’re an interested, committed, compassionate adult who believes that all Kiwi kids deserve the chance to follow their dreams and navigate their own path out of intergenerational challenges, then we need your help. I Have a Dream has opportunities for volunteers, mentors, and fundraisers to work with our Dreamers, Navigators, and support staff.

Simplicity Ltd
Simplicity, New Zealand’s fastest growing (and lowest cost) KiwiSaver provider, has committed to support 25 of our Dreamers for two years. This wonderful donation of $50,000 will help us to continue empowering children to achieve education and life success from a young age.

I Have A Dream is the best initiative I have seen to lift the chances of success for many challenged children and to materially improve the well-being of our local communities and New Zealand society as a whole. Kia kaha.

Self belief and having a goal (Dream) in life are essential if a child is to reach their full potential. I Have a Dream successfully supports the children and their whanau with their schooling and social skills to achieve their dream.

Sometimes in life we may need someone to give us a helping hand, whether it’s words of encouragement, a simple hug or smile or even pointing us in the right direction to make great decisions for our future. It is our honour and privilege to give back to our community by supporting the I Have a Dream mentor programme. I encourage you to give time, or donate less than the cost of a daily coffee to help children reach for the stars.Donations
