Dwayne is a very energetic member of our team. You can always find him on the field or in the playground with the Dreamers organising activities or getting involved in their games. Dwayne previously worked as a sports coordinator and teacher aide and has always loved working directly with young people.
Dwayne loves building strong connections with young people both in educational situations as well as volunteer youth work and youth group leadership roles. Dwayne's passion is to positively impact the lives of young people, helping them to develop and reach their potential. It's because of this that Dwayne loves being part of the IHAD team as he believes we are creating amazing opportunities for young people of all backgrounds in order to produce positive outcomes.
In his downtime, Dwayne enjoys music and theatre, plays the drums, bass and also sings. Dwayne also loves keeping fit and participates in various activities and challenges which give him fun goals to try and achieve. Dwayne lives in Whangarei with his whanau - his wife and 2 school aged girls and 2 boys.
Dwayne's personal dream is to have a nice country home one day, to live off the land as much as possible.
