I Have A Dream were one of the first charities to be supported when the MediaWorks Foundation launched and we’re extremely thankful that their generous support continues to this day.
We are into our third year of partnership with the MediaWorks Foundation and throughout those years we’ve been immensely lucky to benefit from a wide-ranging scope of funding including, TV commercials, radio advertising and involvement in various shows and events such as The Block NZ and Jono & Ben’s Bumper Car Marathon.
In 2017, Duncan Garner came on board as the I Have A Dream / MediaWorks Foundation Ambassador. Duncan fronts our TV commercials, of which we recently filmed our second at Tikipunga Primary School.
Duncan is proud to be able to be part of what the I Have A Dream team are doing on the ground.
“It’s important to be part of this progressive and positive charity which is actually making a difference and stays the distance”, Duncan says. “The programme not only changes the life of one child in a very positive way, but the generational changes to follow, could impact dozens and dozens of people.”
Without the MediaWorks Foundation’s support, we simply wouldn’t be able to get our message out to such a broad-reaching audience. The entire I Have A Dream team are enormously thankful for the MediaWorks Foundations continued support and look forward to the next TV commercial getting onto our screens.
Our goal is for a programme like this to be available to all children living in material hardship in NZ. To do that, we need to change the political debate. To do that, we need to get the public debating the issue. We expect that the MediaWorks support will continue to help with that, but we need YOUR help as well. Talk with your work colleagues, talk with your family and friends, write to your MP. Please help us spread the word about the tremendous potential that ALL young children have, but which is NOT currently being realised due to entrenched poverty and educational disadvantage.
The latest I Have A Dream TV commercial is due to air live on Channel Three on April 29 2018.
