I Have A Dream felt very privileged to be able to partner with Three’s The Block NZ this year on an amazing project at our IHAD Headquarters at Tikipunga High School.
Since we were gifted the occupancy of this amazing space from Tikipunga High and the Ministry of Education, the outdoor area has always been on the ‘to-do’ list to spruce up.
The teams from this years The Block NZ turned up and over the space of two days, and with lots of hard work and volunteer hours, our outdoor space was completely transformed from a blank canvas to a fun, interactive and practical space for our Dreamers to use.
The Block NZ contestants not only did an outstanding job of our outdoor space with gardening, concreting, fence building and sewing lawn, they were also set a challenge to brighten the space with the Resene Selfie Station Colour Challenge. This saw the contestants create 4 unique Selfie Stations for our Dreamers to use as backdrops for all of their selfies! We love them!
We want to thanks Three’s The Block NZ from the bottom of our hearts for the work they put in for us, you have well and truly left a legacy in our community that will be carried forward in our mission to inspire dreamers and enable futures for kids growing up in material hardship.
