On Friday 9 March, we had the pleasure of hosting some of our amazing supporters for an appreciation event designed to express gratitude, strengthen relationships and engage donors with our I Have A Dream staff members and Dreamers. The twenty Dreamers from across our four schools who attended, were last years ‘Dreamer of the Year’ award winners.
We all gathered on a stunning Northland day at Kowharewa Bay in Tutukaka for a mixture of fun activity, courtesy of the Kahakura Waka Experience crew, cultural awareness thanks to our very own Joby, and a ‘dreaming session’, which entailed posting our individual dreams on a whiteboard.
It was a great opportunity for donors to engage with our staff and Dreamers on a personal level and see first hand, the effect that the programme is making. The message from the day centred on the collective effort every individual makes to the programme and in turn, their importance in making the programme a success. Na te mahi tahi ka mama te haere = Collective effort makes the job easier.
You can help I Have A Dream create successful
futures for Kiwi kids.
