Shardae joined our team in 2021 and is loving the IHAD journey with her Dreamers. Shardae has extensive experience in the education sector in both Aotearoa and the United Kingdom, having trained as a secondary English teacher. In more recent times, Shardae has worked with InsideOut as Project Coordinator and Solace Women's Aid as a School Project Worker as well as experience in the domestic and sexual violence sector in the United Kingdom.
As well as her teaching diploma she has a Bachelor of Arts (English and Philosophy) and is working towards completing a certificate in social health and wellbeing. Shardae is also culturally focussed, having completed a variety of courses covering both Maori and Pasifika training.
Shardae loves to write and outside of IHAD this passion has taken on many forms including her most recent venture of a personal blog where Shardae writes about her "passions, thoughts, and curious wonderings about our society". Shardae is a talented debater.
