Laura Griffin

I have a desire to assist the next generation to become positive change makers.

Laura is a passionate, energetic and enthusiastic child and youth educator having worked with children and young people for the last 10 years across many settings including as a student mentor, youth tutor, surf instructor and holiday programme supervisor. Laura is driven to support children to grow and develop and help them foster the concept that “life is forever a journey of growth and discovery towards increasing excellence in everything we do”.

Always looking for opportunities to improve herself, Laura is currently finishing off her Bachelor of Arts majoring in Education and minoring in Development, along with embarking on a journey better understanding tikanga Māori, kaupapa Māori theory and Te Reo.

When not in her role as a Year 3 Navigator, Laura loves being outdoors and active in nature with surfing one of her main passions - she was NZ’s National Woman’s Champion in 2010!
