Daisy is a positive, empathetic and bubbly member of the #DreamTeam. Daisy’s passion for helping others began early, where she has always been the support person for whanau and friends, assisting, brokering and advocating for them. It was this skill and interest that drove Daisy into the social work realm.
Daisy is a highly motivated and hardworking Navigator, who is extremely passionate about the wellbeing of our Dreamers, people and whanau. Whilst only 21 years of age, Daisy has accomplished her Bachelor of applied Social Services and has already accumulated many years experience working in care and protection, education and youth work, having previously worked with Home Support North and Barnardos Whangarei. It’s likely because of Daisy’s own youth, that she finds she has a unique understanding and relatability of young people and their individual needs. These skills drive Daisy to become the best social / youth worker she can be for her Dreamers.
It is Daisy’s whanau, especially her nieces and nephews which provide her inspiration daily, motivating her to spread love and kindness to others. Daisy’s passion for human rights, extends to animaI rights too and this has likely been inspired by her mums work with animal care and protection.
In her spare time, Daisy thrives on new experiences with her friends, partner and whanau. Daisy loves road tripping around NZ, going to concerts and events, one day hoping to travel to many more amazing places out of NZ.
Always friendly, helpful and polite with a good sense of humour to boot, Daisy is a welcome addition to the #DreamTeam.
