Magnolia Magic Returns
Come see the magic for yourself – Open: 10am – 3pm Saturday and Sunday for the first four weekends of August.

We’re thrilled to announce that Catherine and Dave Davies-Colley are once again generously opening the gates to their breathtaking Magnolia Gardens this August.
Nestled on the western outskirts of Whangārei, this stunning private property is home to New Zealand’s largest collection of magnolias. Over the first four weekends of August, the Davies-Colleys are opening their gates to the public, so others can experience their garden in full, glorious bloom.
This incredible event was an annual highlight until 2023, and we’re so grateful to the Davies-Colleys for reviving it in support of the I Have a Dream Charitable Trust. Dreamers and their Navigators will be hosting each weekend. Your visit will directly support our work helping these tamariki and rangatahi dream big, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.
Whether you’re a gardening enthusiast, a flower lover, or simply looking for a peaceful outing with family and friends, this is an event not to be missed. The gardens are truly a sight to behold: a serene landscape filled with hundreds of magnolia trees in spectacular flower, offering the perfect backdrop for a relaxing walk and some unforgettable photos.
