2025 was a defining year for I Have a Dream as we shifted from vision to action and began the next stage of our long‑term plan to grow a network of community‑led programmes that will support 5,000 Dreamers by 2030, and 50,000 Dreamers across Aotearoa by 2050.

I Have a Dream exists to inspire tamariki (children) and rangatahi (young people) to have the courage and confidence to create positive growth in themselves, their whānau and communities.

Dreamers at partner schools are supported by I Have a Dream Navigators to stay engaged in their learning and to forge pathways to successful futures beyond school.

Dreamers learn the importance of building strong relationships, develop their resilience, wellbeing and confidence, and explore what inspires and interests them.
