Kia ora Whānau,

We’ve finally made it to the end and can look forward to a great summer break. This newsletter is essentially to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and to update you with prizegiving results and new staffing for 2021.

During the year we appointed Mo as Programme Manager to look after our Navigators to ensure operations run smoothly – and they have! Thanks Mo!

For 2021 we welcome:

  • Parani Humphreys Y0-2 School Based Navigator Tikipunga Primary School
  • Sergio Bloemen Y0-2 Totara Grove plus relief and breakdancing programmes
  • Sarah Kippenberger Y3 Navigator
  • Dwayne Tainui Y5 Navigator
  • Shardae Grenfell Y8 Navigator
  • Joe Reuben Y12/13 Navigator

We have a fantastic team and can look forward to an awesome 2021!

There have been so many highlights this year – it is difficult to name them all but a few  photos will help tell the story. It would be remiss not to mention Covid and the difficulties we endured during that time. My thanks especially to the staff for managing this time well and for cementing great relationships with our whānau to make sure they were well cared for during this period.

A big shout out to all our volunteers and mentors who work tirelessly in the background helping out in programming and providing mentoring for our High School students. We very much hope to see you all again next year so keep in touch with Diane and she’ll let you know of the 2021 developments.

To our sponsors and donors – thank you! We could not run this programme without you. Everything you do for us is very much appreciated.

Have a safe and happy holiday break everyone.
